[Construction Case] Kamishima Monitoring Post Seismic Reinforcement and Renovation Work (Restoration of Aging Properties)
Adopting the IPH method to restore durability and structural strength. Renovating buildings that were prohibited from use due to aging so that they can be utilized as tourist facilities.
Tsuchiya Construction offers comprehensive construction services, including civil engineering and building construction. We would like to introduce a case study of "Concrete Structure Repair" that we have undertaken! 【Tsuchiya Construction Concrete Repair Case Study】 ■ Project: Mie Prefecture - Kamishima Observation Post An old Imperial Army facility on Kamishima Island in Toba City, Mie Prefecture, featured in Yukio Mishima's novel "The Sound of Waves." It is used for film shooting locations. ■ Purpose of Construction To restore a building that has been prohibited from use due to aging and to prepare it for use as a tourist facility. ■ Construction Proposal We proposed the "IPH Method," a suitable technique for repairing and reinforcing concrete structures, ensuring that the appearance and atmosphere of the deteriorated reinforced concrete building are not compromised. By injecting low-viscosity epoxy resin into the fine cracks and voids in the concrete, we aimed to improve durability and restore structural strength. ~ What is the Concrete Repair Method "IPH Method"? ~ Unlike conventional low-pressure resin injection methods, this technique involves injecting resin while removing air from the crack locations on the concrete surface, integrating the cracked concrete and ensuring durability. It enhances the adhesion strength between the rebar and concrete, and also provides anti-corrosion effects. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
